Types of Criminal Cases We Handle

The Campbell Law Firm handles a broad range of criminal cases throughout Northwest Washington. Some of the types of cases Justin focuses on are:

Assault & Domestic Violence Charges.

Assault crimes occur when a person hits, touches, or attempts to injure another person, or makes them afraid of being hurt by a physical act. When the two people are members of the same “family or household” or fall into the definition of “intimate partners,” the crime may be considered a domestic violence crime. Typical crimes that include a domestic violence tag are assault, harassment, malicious mischief, and reckless endangerment. However, the domestic violence tag can apply to many other crimes.

Vehicular Crimes

Vehicular crimes are those involving a motor vehicle. Some examples of traffic offenses are reckless driving, reckless endangerment, negligent driving, driving on a suspended license, hit and run, and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device. They also include crimes such as vehicular assault and vehicular homicide.

Drunk Driving Offenses

The State of Washington is serious about cases of drunk driving and driving while under the influence of drugs. People convicted of DUI are punished severely, and mounting a successful defense requires an attorney who is up to date on the constantly changing DUI laws and understands the complex and scientific nature of these cases. Physical Control charges are similar to DUI charges but typically involve the “safely off the roadway” affirmative defense.

White Collar Crimes

White collar crimes involve allegations of criminal activity committed for financial gain, often through deceit or the exploitation of trust. They include offenses such as bribery, identity theft, fraud, forgery, and embezzlement. Defending against these criminal charges requires specialized expertise, and Justin’s background in accounting makes him uniquely qualified to handle the complex legal and financial issues that arise in white collar criminal cases.
